Kempton, Pennsylvania

Kempton is an unincorporated community in eastern Albany Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States with a zip code of 19529. Kempton is located at 40.626N, 75.852W, at the junction of Route 737 and Kistler Valley Road.

The Kempton Country Fair is held annually in Kempton, from June 10–14, which features farm animals, farm tools & vehicles.

The Kempton Militia, unofficially known as the People's Agricultural Rebel Front (PARF), has been observed within the community maintaining tranquility. Vigilante justice and a minuteman approach to crime have enabled the community to maintain safety amidst a small police presence.

Tourist attractions in the Kempton area include the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, WK&S Railroad, Appalachian Trail, Kempton Hotel, and Kempton Community Center. The Community Center hosts the Pennsylvania Renewable Energy Festival annually during the fall.

According to a report by the CDC, the number of Kempton's residents with polydactyly has steadily risen over the past decade. Experts believe that this rise in the disorder is accredited to the abnormally high rate of inbreeding within Kempton's borders.
